Supply Chain Scheduler

Company Background: Crete Core Ingredients, Inc., is a lead supplier of inedible raw materials to the pet food industry. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to fill our Supply Chain – Production Scheduler position. This position offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity for career development and growth within the company. This full-time position is located at our Crete Location.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, manage and adjust production schedule to ensure customer orders and inventory levels are met.
• Monitor completion of production to include inventory tracking, expiration monitoring and work order completion.
• Execute and schedule appropriate sanitation to ensure plant cleanliness and FSMA compliance is met.
• Work with logistics to ensure order shipment deadlines are met.
• Advise management of the status of work in process.
• Additional Duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Critical thinking is a MUST – strong ability to strategize and problem solving on a daily basis.
• Familiarity to Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written work instructions.
• Strong understanding of basic mathematical functions is required
• Ability to adapt to developing processes.
• Willingness to support various business functions as needed – a Team Player mindset is a MUST!
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in planning, scheduling, and logistics coordination preferred.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus, but not a requirement.
• JD Edwards experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

POSITION TITLE: Office Assistant

REPORTS TO: Office Manager and Plant Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Saturday through Wednesday – Hours: Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Hours: Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (will have to stay later if everything is not done)

JOB SUMMARY: This position entails shipping and receiving, inventory, data entry and other tasks as assigned. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and be computer literate.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Shipping, which includes working with orders and preparing BOL’s.
  • Receiving, which includes processing work and sales orders
  • Inventory, verifying FIFO and communicate all inventory discrepancies with the Plant Manager.
  • The ability to work Friday through Monday.
  • The ability to work the following hours: Monday-Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Hours: Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (will have to stay later if everything is not done)
  • Closes out the end of the month with corporate.
  • Maintains filing systems on a regular basis.
  • Answers telephone, makes appointments and greets customers and guests.
  • Performs other duties and projects as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Two to three years of general experience in an office environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to work with manufacturing software is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

POSITION TITLE:  Warehouse Forklift Operator

REPORTS TO:  Immediate Supervisor

SUPERVISES:  N/A

CLASSIFICATION:  Full-Time

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product.  Unload and load product, scan product and place it correctly in warehouse.  Maintain a safe and clean work environment.  Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures that all company safety procedures are followed to include OSHA compliance and guidelines.
    • Safely loads, unloads, moves and stacks products and materials onto pallets and racks in correct location.
    • Scans product and moves to the freezer or processing area. Checks for accuracy and placement.
    • Reports faulty equipment, damage to racks and other safety hazards to immediate Supervisor, Safety Director or Plant Manager.

    • Ability to become forklift certified.
    • Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant operating equipment to ensure overall operating efficiency and safety.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Provides repairs of facility equipment.
    • Ensures operation of facility equipment by completing preventative maintenance.
    • Disassembles and assembles equipment for sanitation and production runs.
    • Makes repairs and adjustments in a timely fashion to ensure as little downtime as possible.
    • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Works with minimal supervision.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Proficient in the use of hand and shop tools.
    • Industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
