Forklift Operator

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – 1stshift Monday – Thursday 7am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of forklift operator. Forklift operators are responsible for bringing in products off trailers and staging products for production. Forklift operators will also be expected to feed products into the forming and IQF process as well as taking finished product to be wrapped and either stored for shipping or shipping. Forklift operators will need to transport valuable items requiring diligence and good hand-eye coordination.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
  • Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
  • Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
  • Inspecting for damage to vehicles.
  • Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
  • Identifying workplace safety hazards.
  • Communicating with both Production Manager and Warehouse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be safety, quality, and efficient minded.
  • Must have basic computer operational skills.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Exposure to cold (< 40 degrees).
  • Ability to lift up to 31-50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Extensive fine motor movements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
