FORKLIFT TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY: The Forklift Technician is responsible for performing routine and proper maintenance and operation of all forklift equipment.  You will play a key role in keeping our production and warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently. 

SALARY: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of our forklift equipment.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure functionality.
  • Ensure complete and effective repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and materials within your working area.
  • Monitor and replace equipment batteries or LP tanks as needed, ensuring continuous operational capability.
  • Adhere to OSHA and MSDS standards for safety and compliance.
  • Knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems and / or charging systems are a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 2 years’ employment maintenance relatable experience (i.e. automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, equipment rental mechanic or Technical School certification.
  • Documentation skills necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose down to the component level on all material handling equipment.
